Lebanon's weather can vary in the winter seasons. By the sea in cities such as the Capital Beirut and Tripoli it is usually cool but never cold; Temperature rarely get colder that 7 degrees Celsius and almost never reach the freezing mark. The cities by the sea experience rain during the winter seasons and every once in a while the residents experience hail.
In the mountains snow can be a common occurrence during the winter months. At higher elevations in places such as Al-Arz mountains snow is in abundance allowing for a fantastic skiing experience. At lower levels of elevation villages and towns may experience snow one or two time per year. Temperatures never get very cold in Lebanon even in midst of winter.
